Client// Beecher's Foundation
Delivery// Cross-media & Cross-platform Edutainment Product
Our relationship with Beecher's Foundation began back in 2021. We initially got tapped to pitch a concept for a True Detective inspired animated show. The twist? Weave a legitimate educational storyline in between the exciting and daring crime-solving adventures of Chip and Dip - our deliciously dynamic duo of Food Detectives. The result is a 5 Episode 25-Minute-long thrilling animated show that leaves no food pun off the table.
The series became a main focal point in the Foundation's In-Class Workshops about Food Marketing and Ingredient List secrets. It turned tens of thousands elementary schoolers into real world Food Detectives in classrooms across the US. And it did it in such a fun way, nobody had a clue they were learning in the meantime.
Here's a taste of Chip & Dip's first adventure together.

//Expanding the IP
After the success of the series, Beecher's Foundation came back to us with an even a grander vision. What if we could make the Food Detectives' adventures interactive? What if we could scale the reach of their program to hundreds of thousands of students? What if no child in America has to grow up, falling pray to misleading nutritional information? And then, the World? That got us thinking again.
In a business sense, we were now developing a client's core product. Not merely an audio-visual companion any more, but an entire cross-media interactive experience start to end. In plain terms, we were developing a game.
Enter the rebirth of the Food Detectives Workshop. In two big chapters.
//Chapter One: In-class Workshop Reinvented
As of Q1 of 2026, Beecher's Foundation has reached over 250,000 students across the US with their 4th Grader Classroom Workshop. Our continued partnership and collaboration has lead to the new redesigned Workshop with interactive games and challenges.
A Web Only Unity Based Product that combines Beecher's 20-year experience as educators and our in-house storytelling and technical know-how into a scalable Edutainment platform. Taking their tried and tested curriculum, we jumped into expanding the story and designing entire interactive chapters (mini-games) to compliment a teacher-led in-class Workshop.
With this step, the Food Detectives Universe officially became cross-media.

//Chapter Two: Mobile App
With the teacher facilitated Workshop in place, it was time to look even further. The Food Detectives Game App.
Our first product in this direction is a Vertical Slice on the Food Marketing module from the curriculum. It expands on the original story of the series, while building on top with more animated content, alongside interactive learning mini-games and exciting action-packed games that put the kids in the driver's seat (literally).
As usual, we took care of everything - scripts, designs, animation, game design and development. All in tight partnership with and under the guidance of the experienced educators at Beecher's.
For the Vertical Slice we utilized Unreal Engine. While it poses its unique challenges when it comes to 2D styled art and assets, it gave us the agility to iterate quickly and design a learning experience that prioritizes play and enjoyment. After all, this isn't school; it's an adventure!

//The World and Beyond
As of 2026 the project is still ongoing. As a partner and service provider for the Beecher's Foundation, we are responsible for keeping the database running. Updates, maintenance and general quality of life fixes keep happening in the background all the time. As the userbase grows, so do the requirements and resources needed to maintain a healthy environment for the project to grow and expand.
With new educational modules in the works, as well as constant feedback implementation, we're creating a living and breathing cross-media Edutainment product. The story of Chip and Dip continues to live, with new adventures and teachable moments, which serve the educational goals of the curriculum.
